| Watsonville Starlings Volleyball is a non-Profit college prep athletic program that offers the sport of volleyball at the club level to girls for a cost that does not become exclusionary for families. While junior club volleyball dues are often expensive, Starlings club dues are dramatically minimized to offer the opportunity to athletes from ALL communities. | GREETINGS STARLINGS FANS!!! (last updated 5/23/2013) Starlings UPDATE... Whats coming up... The final tournament for the 16's will be the Great American tournament in San Jose. Nationals in San Diego is comming up!!! For more information on reservations and the program check this link and follow the directions to reserve your room. Practice times for this week are... Monday & Wednesday 6:00 - 8:00pm for ladies on the 18's team Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:30 - 8:30pm for ladies on the 16's team !!!STARLINGS SUMMER VOLLEYBALL!!! This summer, Starlings will be offering opportunities for athletes 15 and under the chance to develop their skills. | In 1999, there were 32 graduating high school seniors in Starlings programs. Of those 32 girls, 31 enrolled in college, and nine girls received partial or full volleyball scholarships. Beginning in 1996, over 150 volleyball scholarships have been awarded from universities including: Kansas State, Clark-Atlanta University, Virginia State University, Long Island University, Coppin State University, Morgan State University, Howard University, Jackson State, Florida A&M, Grambling State University, and Hampton University. |
